Installation Requirements
Licensed Plumber Requirement
All products must be installed by a licensed plumber in compliance with:
– AS/NZS 3500
– The Plumbing Code of Australia
– Backflow prevention requirements
– Local state/territory plumbing laws
Installation by anyone other than a licensed plumber voids warranty and removes any responsibility from Conor Australia.
Customer/Installer Duties
The installer must ensure:
– correct fitting of T-valves, hoses, seals, and washers
– correct tightening of all plumbing joints
– correct routing of hoses (not kinked or crushed)
– water pressure is within acceptable limits
– isolation valve is accessible and used
– leak testing is performed before use
Backflow Compliance & WaterMark Policy
WaterMark certified products comply with required Australian plumbing standards and must still be installed correctly to function safely.
Non-WaterMark Certified Products
Where used, non-WaterMark certified products:
– must follow state/territory rules
– may not be suitable for all installations
– are installed entirely at the customer’s and plumber’s own risk
– are not covered for any regulatory breaches or damages
We disclaim all liability for damages arising from installation or use of non-WaterMark products.
Product Certification
WaterMark Certified Products: Products labeled as WaterMark certified comply with Australian plumbing standards and are suitable for installation by licensed plumbers. Certification documentation is available upon request.
Non-WaterMark Certified Products: Some products, such as certain bidet sprays, may not be WaterMark certified. These products may not meet Australian regulations for installation by licensed plumbers. By purchasing these products, you acknowledge that they may not be suitable for all installations and assume responsibility for their use and compliance with local regulations.
Liability Disclaimer
WaterMark Certified Products
We are not liable for any damages, losses, flooding, or property damage arising from improper installation, incorrect fittings, misuse, water pressure issues, or unauthorised modification of WaterMark certified products. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure installation is carried out by a licensed plumber in full compliance with AS/NZS 3500, the Plumbing Code of Australia, and all local regulations.
Non-WaterMark Certified Products
We disclaim all liability for any damages, flooding, losses, or regulatory non-compliance resulting from the installation or use of non-WaterMark certified products. Customers assume full responsibility for installation, use, compliance, and any consequences arising from these products.
Property Damage & Flooding Disclaimer
Conor Australia Pty Ltd is not responsible or liable for any water damage, flooding, property damage, mould, plumbing issues, structural damage, or consequential loss arising from the installation, use, failure, or malfunction of any product.
All plumbing work—including fittings, hoses, valves, connectors, backflow prevention, water pressure regulation, and leak testing—is the sole responsibility of the licensed installer and/or the property owner.
Any claims relating to water or property damage must be directed to the installer’s insurance or the property owner’s insurance provider.
General Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages arising from the use, installation, or performance of our products.
Our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law are limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the product itself if a manufacturing defect is confirmed.

Installation: WaterMark vs. Non-WaterMark Products
WaterMark Certified Products:
These products are tested and approved under the WaterMark Certification Scheme for use in Australia when installed by a licensed plumber. Installation must be carried out by a licensed plumber to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and to maintain warranty and insurance validity.
Non-WaterMark Products:
These products are not WaterMark certified. In Australia, any connection to the mains water supply must still be installed by a licensed plumber. Some plumbers, or state regulations, may not permit installation of non-WaterMark products or may require additional backflow prevention. It is the customer’s responsibility to check with a licensed plumber before purchase. We do not recommend or permit DIY installation for any water-connected product.
Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Compliance
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where ACL applies, customers are entitled to a remedy if the product is defective.
ACL remedies do not include property damage compensation for plumbing-related failures.
Our legal obligation remains limited to the product itself.
